Cause and Consequence
Capitalism seems to use race to establish hierarchy. The way in which we conceptualize the type of exploitative capitalism we've become familiar with is through a racial lens. Slavery is cheap. You're Black because profits need a bottom. The converse flips this. Comparatively, it assumes that racialization and hatred birthed capitalism and that it is the tool instead; furthermore, that the net outcome is not to make profits but to establish and protect white supremacy.Â

We are almost out of time: SA signs treaty to advance marine conservation at 2025 UN Ocean Conference – but global momentum is still lacking
Healthy marine ecosystems, especially coral reefs, act as carbon sponges – significantly reducing carbon in the atmosphere and therefore combatting the climate crisis beyond the borders of the sea. Establishing more MPAs could be a make-or-break factor in avoiding further climate catastrophe and turning the tide of the climate crisis.

A GOVERNMENT THAT SEES ALL BUT HEARS NOTHING

How Many More? Why South Africa’s GBVF Crisis Must Be Declared a National Disaster
We cannot afford to let these moments pass as mere hashtags. We need more than state action. We need a generation that refuses to be silent. We need young people to organise, to speak up, to challenge harmful norms in their schools, relationships, and communities.Â
