About Misunderstood

Being MISUNDERSTOOD is often the price that we pay to be a unique individual. Here we change that concept because your individuality is what makes you who you are and we want to embrace that.

Founded in 2021, Misunderstood initially started off as a podcast. It has now evolved into a platform where your views can be shared in a safe and open – minded environment. A place where you will be understood, heard and seen. We are forming a community with a common goal and connection.

To add onto who we are and what we are aiming for we want to continuously raise awareness around issues related to the social injustices many face. This is an educational and conversational space- without it being performative activism but rather constructive communication.

Finally we want everyone here to form a part of our community. To no longer be ashamed of who they are in society. Being misunderstood is often the price that we pay to be a unique individual. Here we change that concept because your individuality is what makes you who you are and we want to embrace that.

Founder

"With limited spaces for youth to engage in meaningful conversation and understand the rapidly changing world, there's a risk of further division and isolation as we rely on narratives shaped by social media.

Misunderstood is a space where we aim to unpack difficult conversations, promote diverse opinions, and spread messages of social justice.

In 2021, the dream was to create a platform and space where people felt free to voice their concerns without fear of judgment."
